- Register your move with Skatteverket (the Swedish Tax Agency) no later than one week after moving, at skatteverket.se. Moving from abroad? Skatteverket also handles population registration and the personnummer.
- Electricity and broadband. Sign contracts for the new address in good time so everything works from day one.
- Home insurance. Make sure it covers the new address from the day you get the keys.
- Winter. If you move here in winter, the car needs winter tyres by law in winter conditions, and the path to the entrance needs to be cleared on moving day.
- Preschool and school. Applications are made to Skellefteå municipality.
